Postal Living

At the time of this writing, I’ve been a United States Postal Worker for over twelve years. I’ve managed to build a career off of my ability to endure some fierce physical trauma, from harsh elements to muscle strains to physical injury. I’ve learned about the community that I was attached to, even while I was somewhat distant from it.

It’s become a significant part of my life, but what’s there to say about it? Yes, I deliver the mail. But that means so many different things when you think about it. I’m usually on walking routes, so I get to see so many things, talk to so many people, and run from so many dogs.

I give occasional snippets of my experiences on social media, but I’ve wanted to expand on those experiences. Unfortunately, the first time I tried this project it got put on the backburner, thanks to a rather bad Heavy Season (more on that later), and I removed it from the front page.

But I’m going to try again! This time, I also take pictures!

…maybe I’ll turn this into a book. Who knows?

Welcome to Postal Living!
