Orada Termins was a Ryn bounty hunter known for a reputation among his peers for never taking a ‘dead only’ contract and was considered a small-time hero among his people. Working as a bounty hunter in order to finance his family aboard one of the Ryn-caravan ships along the Perlemian Trade Route, Orada was slowly drawn into the Rebel Alliance as they hired him for protection at freelancer rates.

Early Life

Orada was born in 25 BBY on the planet Terminus, at the furthest intersection of the Hydian Way and the Corellian Trade Spine. Being from Terminus, he was ‘adopted’ into the Termins Clan of the Ryn, who prided themselves as explorers and hunters as according to their ancestral legends. While on Terminus, Orada was taught the fundamentals of being a Ryn in society, namely that he would not trusted in most places and would face outright discrimination in some. These lessons were taken to heart at an early age, but he would fight this social norm via his school days.

Educated at Terminus’ Sunset Dock School, Orada learned quickly that there were many people who were on the outside of society, even if they themselves were not Ryn. Jaspin, a young Human, was his best friend during those years who attempted to teach Orada the fine points of bolo-ball, but Orada’s preference to use his prehensile tail during games made him an unlikely pick at line-up. As the years progressed, Orada invested more of his time into his ‘hunting skills’: finding items or people within the spaceport and surrounding city. When he was 12 years old, his ‘grandfather’ (the leader of the Termins Clan) gave him his first hunting rifle and began instructing him in marksmanship. He was later apprenticed by his father Storam in personal combat and takedowns. Storam, being a follower of The Way, always made sure Orada respected life enough to not take it from anyone without great need.

By his 18th year, Orada had developed a reputation within Terminus as a local bounty hunter and bail bondsman, with a strict adherence to his ‘no-kill’ policy. If he could avoid it, Orada preferred to never take a life, as a reflection of his fathers’ teachings. By his 20th year, Orada had married Krishtna Corell in what was called a ‘joining of the Trade Spine Clans’ by the families but was in truth a love story that neither clan could stop. When he was 21, his daughter Meentra was born. Sensing the Empire’s reach stretching all the way to Terminus, Orada had his family moved onto the Ryn-caravan craft Sunward Folly.

The decision was made just in time, as the Imperials moved on Terminus barely a month after the Sunward Folly began traveling the hyperspace lanes. As the Imperials began setting up their garrisons, Orada decided it was time to take his profession off-world. Signing a contract with the Bounty Hunter’s Guild, Orada left Terminus with his belongings stowed aboard his personal Z-95 Headhunter DeadShot and began his life as a professional bounty hunter.

After three years of wandering the stars, Orada had solidified his reputation as an honorable if acerbic hunter and mercenary. He was approached by a Xexto named Olto Gabin, who wanted to hire Orada out as a supplementary soldier for a specialized team. Little did Orada know that when he settled DeadShot’s landing struts in the auxiliary cargo bay of the Lady Sandhawk, he was now working with the Rebel Alliance.
