I’m not a particular fan of fan-fiction, since it can go into the murky waters of messing with a writers’ universe, but there are a couple stories set within a universe that I’ve always wanted to explore.
Shadowrun is one of those worlds that I do get to explore; I’ve been writing campaigns in it for several years. But I’ve always had one run (or gig, as my Southern runners keep calling them) that was never done, never even considered. It was a short campaign that I obsessed over for a simple reason: I always wanted to write an “Oceans-11” style plot. But the game never happened.
In seeking for my continued sanity, I decided to write out the short campaign as something of a novel. Maybe not full-length novel worthy, but if you like Shadowrun and Oceans-11, you might find this entertaining.
