About

This is the personal website of Jacob Swift.

That’d be me…so…hello there!
I’m an (as yet) unpublished writer which is what this place covers most often. But I use this site for a variety of things. I’m also a tabletop gamer (Forever DM of over 20 years) and a United States Postal Worker (mailman or postman, however you’re comfortable) of 14 years.

When I have my DungeonMaster hat on, I use this place to talk to my players. When running a session, I use Skype for the moment (until I get a better Internet connection out here) and I accept players from all over. I’m technically an International DM (which is just bragging rights). I primarily run a Revised Edition Star Wars game, but I’m versed in Shadowrun (3rd Edition and onwards), Dungeons & Dragons v3.5, and GURPS. I’ve debated running a Call of Cthulhu campaign, but my players always opt out of that one.

I talk quite a bit about the US Mail here, so I’m somewhat bound by the Hatch Act. I don’t dive deeply into political or religious discussions because of this, but when I think I can word myself correctly, you might see an essay with my thoughts on a given subject. Beyond that, it’s mostly just posts about being a mailman in Louisiana.

I have a somewhat open-door policy when it comes to gaming, and have set up contacts for the off-chance a player comes across this site and wants to join in. For that, contact me here.

If you want to look for me on other parts of the Internet, I’m around!

I still use X (Twitter), mostly because I don’t want to lose the writing friends and adopted cousins (you’ll see what I mean when you get there) that I’ve made over the years. I generally avoid the majority of the drama to be had on the Feed, though.

I do have my Instagram, but don’t be surprised if you can’t find much there. It’s my personal account so it’s a lot of family pictures. I might look into a ‘professional’ account later.

I also have Threads and Bluesky, but being the newest accounts are rather bare-bones. I might turn Threads into a personal opinions platforms and keep Bluesky are a writing/gaming promotional spot.

Welcome to my little corner of the Internet.
