It’s the start of my birthday month, and right on schedule with the winter illness!
I’ve been down for the past couple of days with Influenza A (and the doctor thinks my bronchitis is flaring up again, which is also par for the course), having caught the virus from (most likely) my daughter having caught it at school. I used to be able to soldier right through these things, but this years’ round of sickness has had me floored.
Hopefully, it’ll start to pass by tomorrow and I can resume my typical life of stressing out over every little thing work-related, but at the moment, I’m taking my legendarium work a bit further: language development.

Looks a bit like fever-dream writing, eh? Probably because I’ve had a 102 fever since Friday. Now, this is definitely a first draft or concept test, but I’ve been reading more on philology and I’ve found it absolutely fascinating. I’ll be trying for a second draft throughout the week as I learn more, especially if I’m told I have to stay in bed again.
(I might have translated that to being told to stay in this desk chair, but hey, it’s a comfy chair at least).
Stay safe out there, folks. Hopefully I’ll be back to my old irascible self by next Sunday.
